Mr. Vernon Murray
Mr. William Vernon Murray, age 89, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at his home.

He was born to William Marcus and Lizzie Edith Lovewell Murray on February 3, 1929, in Goodwater, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, Mary Louise Lambert, on September 23, 1947, in Yakima, Washington. He was a Plumber by trade and was a 55-year member of the Pipefitter's Union. He was a member of Gideon's International and attended church at the Horatio Assembly of God. He enjoyed singing, helping others, attending social events, cooking and bargain hunting, but most of all, he enjoyed the time spent with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Louise Murray, in 1993; and four siblings.

He is survived by three sons, Vern Murray and his wife Marcia of Washington, Darell Murray and his wife Diana of Idaho and Larry Murray of Arkansas; one daughter, Barbara Aston and her husband Ray of Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Michael, Gwendolyn, Amy, Melissa, Derek, Heather, and Chad; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marcus Murray and Norman Murray, both of California; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorial service for Mr. Vernon Murray will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 23, 2018, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Gutierres officiating.
