Mr. William Hinkle, Sr.
Mr. William Henry Hinkle, Sr., age 74, a resident of Cove, died Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home.

He was the oldest of six children born to Loyd Franklin and Leatha Marie Martin Hinkle on February 6, 1944, in Indio, California. He married the love of his life, Carol Jean Pulcher, in the year 1967, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked as an oil driller and retired from Hilton Oil Company after over 30 years of service. Mr. Hinkle was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, making wine and tinkering with anything he could find, but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 38 years, Carol Jean Hinkle, in 2005; and his brother-in-law, Don Parker.

He is survived by four daughters, Laura Lowe of Wyoming, Leatha Robey of Wickes, Mary Sexton and her husband Vernon of Wyoming, and Billie Jean Smith and her husband Scott of Oregon; two sons, William Hinkle, Jr. and his wife Sunshine of Wickes, and Joe Hinkle of Jonesboro; 26 grandchildren, four of which he raised as his own, Samantha Rhea Molina of De Queen, Crystal LeAnn Reid and her husband Ryan of Deirks, Gary Robey of De Queen, and Briley Robey of De Queen; 17 greatgrandchildren; one sister, Shirley Parker of Pea Ridge; four brothers, Charles Hinkle and his wife Cindy of Texas, Gary Hinkle of Wickes, Ronnie Hinkle and Tommy Hinkle, both of Arkansas; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
