Mr. William "Billy" Phillips
Mr. William Thomas "Billy" Phillips, Jr. passed away on January 14, 2022, at the age of 85, in Bonham, Texas. Billy was born in De Queen, Arkansas on October 27, 1936.

He is survived by his special friend Glenda Meador, his children - Melanie Yates, Cyndi & Philip Robinson and Michael Phillips as well as his grandchildren Lyndi & Justin Isonhood, Megan Fox, Melinda Robinson and Fallon Phillips. In addition, he is survived by his brother, Charles "Chuck" Phillips & wife Ruth and their three sons Todd, Brant and Andrew and his sister Daina Johnson and her two sons Melvin Jr and Brad as well as numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Joy Phillips, parents Bill and Lola Phillips, brother-in-law Melvin Johnson, and niece Crystal Sharp.

Billy was a former football coach, teacher, and car enthusiast. He was a graduate of Baylor University where he played football which led to his career in coaching. He loved watching old westerns and football. He resided in Texarkana, Arkansas for the majority of his life where he had a network of friends that he truly enjoyed spending time with playing cards, dominoes and cheering on both the Baylor Bears and Arkansas Razorback football teams. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.

Graveside services for Mr. Billy Phillips will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Chapel Hill Cemetery in De Queen, Arkansas. Interment will follow under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. General viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
