Mr. Wayne Humphrey
Mr. Tommy Wayne Humphrey, age 89, resident of Springdale, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at The Maples at Har-Ber Meadows in Springdale.

Wayne, as he was known to family and friends, was born to Guy and Lula Grace Emerson Humphrey on January 1, 1934, in Bryan's Mill, Texas. After graduating high school, Wayne went on to attend Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, Texas. It was here Wayne received a Bachelor of Science in Business. He faithfully served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge.

Living in Baton Rouge for almost forty years, Wayne worked as Director of Premium Insurance Taxes for the State of Louisiana and enjoyed his work in the jewelry business at Lee Michaels. He relaxed by fishing, gardening, and listening to music. Most of all, Wayne cherished the time spent with his wife Earlene, their children, and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Wayne was a devoted and loving husband and father. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Earlene Humphrey; his daughter, Deidre Campbell Wynne and her children, Garrett Duffy Campbell and Quinn Emerson Campbell; son, Scott Marcus Humphrey; and son Lloyd Kelley Humphrey and his daughters, Adalyn Marantino, Casey Johnson, Paige Humphrey, and Victoria Humphrey.

Funeral Services for Mr. Wayne Humphrey will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, July 15, 2023, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel,  1015 West Collin Raye Drive, De Queen, Arkansas 71832. Bro. Bobby Fischer to officiate. Interment will follow at Belleville Cemetery in Lockesburg. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen, Arkansas.
