Mrs. Violet Corine Sharp Hedrick, age 89, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Thursday, October 26, 2017 in the Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana.

She was born to T. D. and Hyacinthe McLeod Sharp in Lockesburg, Arkansas on November 7, 1927. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Horatio, and was retired from Knod's Wholesale Grocery, where she was an accountant. She enjoyed flowers, and gardening, and she cherished the time spent with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Randy Hedrick, and all her siblings, Everett Sharp, Frankie Pickett, Marie Underwood, Ruby Johnson, Athel Sharp, and Gene Sharp.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Mindy and her husband, Charles Ogden of Texarkana, Texas, three great-grandchildren, Luke Ogden, Stephen and Audrey Ogden all of Texarkana, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Violet Hedrick will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, De Queen, Arkansas. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until service time. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Texarkana, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
