Mrs. Viola Ruth Barrett, age 84, a resident of Kirby, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma at her daughter's home.

Viola was born to Howard and Evelyn Phelps Cross, Sr., on March 17, 1942, in Pike County, Ohio in the township of Perry. She loved gardening, fishing, and most especially spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ronnie Barrett.

Viola leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Rita Faye Evans and Rhonda Anderson both of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Megan and Aaron Harder of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Samantha Evans of Idabel, Oklahoma, Bryer and Lindsea Anderson of Mount Herman, Oklahoma; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew and Kelsey Dillard, Jaden Harder, Athena, Amara, and Klyde Anderson; her siblings, Howard Cross, Jr., and Mary Johnson both of California.
