Mr. John Thomas "Tommy" Moore, age 75, a resident of De Queen, died Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Dierks, Arkansas. He was born to Pervin B and Pauline Smith Moore in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on August 15, 1941. He was retired from Pilgrim's Pride, where he was a security guard, and a rancher. He enjoyed gardening, work, yard work, cattle, and he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his dad, Leo Vickers, a brother, Kenneth Moore, and a granddaughter, J. K. Nealy Hornsby. He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Judy Godwin Moore of De Queen, a son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Patti Nealy of De Queen, three daughters, and sons-in-law, Carla and Jeff Wahls of De Queen, Melody and Rick Halter of Fayetteville, Ark., and Lisa and Mitch Evans of Monroeville, Alabama, ten grandchildren, Nikki, Madelyn, Kendyl, Ellye, Cole, Katy, Jill, Josh, Julie, and Hannah; five great-grandchildren, Kylaa, Chanli, Avery, Evan, and Emma, one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Lana Jo Vickers of De Queen, one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Wayne Gentry of De Queen, and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends. Funeral Services for Mr. Tommy Moore will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sam Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
