He was born to Frank Gorden and Emma Brown Pumphrey on July 18, 1946, in Warren, Arkansas. He married the love of his life, Victoria Susan Collins, on April 5, 1968, and to this marriage, two daughters were born. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later worked in telecommunications for Verizon. He was a member of the De Queen Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing and caring for his chickens, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Vicki Collins Pumphrey of De Queen; two daughters, Faith Klitz and her husband Tommy of Horatio and Melissa Suttle and her husband Chris of De Queen; nine grandchildren, Summer Irvan, Bethany Gonzales and her husband Zach, Kara Evan Lee and her husband Zack, Melia Marsh, Taylor Suttle, Jayden Suttle, Renee Burnard, Alex Klitz and Zak Klitz; nine greatgrandchildren; one sister, Janette Pumphrey of De Queen; two cousins, Dennis and Robert Gomer; as well as a host of friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Ted Pumphrey will be held at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, June 14, 2018, in the De Queen Church of Christ with Toney Stowers, Minister, officiating.
