Horatio
Mrs. Sue Wagoner
Mrs. Betty Sue Huckaby Wagoner, age 74, resident of Horatio, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at her home.
Sue was one of nine children born to the union of Felix Harrison and Argie Louise Ramsey Huckaby on October 18, 1946, in De Queen. She was a 1964 graduate of De Queen High School and went to further her education at beauty school. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant, Beautician, and later as a cook for the De Queen School Cafeteria, retiring after 15 years of service. She married Sol B. Wagoner, on January 27, 1996, to share the next 25 loving years. She was a Baptist and member of Old Time Missionary Baptist Church in De Queen. She was exceptionally proud of her 27-year remission of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Sue was a collector of Santa Clause figurines and lighthouses, was an avid Elvis Pressley fan, and enjoyed yardwork, and taking care of everyone. More than anything, Sue cherished the time spent with Sol, their children, and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Ramsey, Marvin, Donnie, Lonnie, and Glen Huckaby; and a grandchild, Kody Firm.
Those left to cherish the many memories of Sue include, her loving husband, Sol Wagoner of Horatio; their children, Cheryl Firm of De Queen, Shannon (Jaimie) Crabtree of Texarkana, Shonda (Mark) Hannah of Eagletown, a special exchange daughter Nathalie Giorgi of Switzerland, Rene Chandler of Valliant, Mya (Tom) Duboyce of Colorado Springs, and Russell (Brandy) Law of Malvern; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, James (Emalene) Huckaby of De Queen; two sisters, Marje Harbolt of Joplin, and Linda Dean of De Queen; her mother-in-law, Marcella Olochia of Murfreesboro; as well as, other former exchange students, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Sue Wagoner will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, July 5, 2021, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Tim Bowlin and Mike Jannise officiating. Burial will follow at Avon Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M., to service time, Monday, at the funeral home.
