Mrs. Christine Oglesby
Mrs. Sudie Christine Glossup Oglesby, age 88, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the De Queen Medical Center.

She was born to Marshall Carpenter and Anna Marie Glossup in Chillicothe, Texas, May 15, 1930.  She worked in food service as well as a homemaker.  She was a member of The First Pentecostal Church of God.  She enjoyed jewelry, beadwork, and necklaces, was an avid John Wayne Fan.  She was known as Grandma to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Melvin Woodard, and Joseph Oglesby; two children, William Leon Woodard, and Judy Ann Cheatham; a brother, Henry Glossup; a sister, Geraldine Glossup; and a grandchild, Johnny Riley.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Hodges of De Queen; two sons, Larry Oglesby and his wife Diane and Gary Oglesby and his wife Marsha, all of De Queen;a grandson, Jerry and his wife Hope Cheatham of De Queen, as well as, a number of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Doris Woodard; nieces and nephews; other family members and a host of friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Christine Oglesby will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cove, Arkansas, with Rev. James Copp officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 9 ^th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
