Spencer
Logan
Oct 5, 1946 — Jul 20, 2025
De Queen
Mr. Spencer Logan, age 78, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed into the arms of Jesus at home on Sunday, July 20, 2025, with his family by his side.
He was born in De Queen, Arkansas on October 5, 1946, to James Earl and Nancy Mae (Carroll) Logan. He was first, and foremost a Christian, he was a 1964 graduate of De Queen High School, the owner of Logan Automotive Parts Co., the past president of De Queen/Sevier Co. Chamber of Commerce (1983), a volunteer firefighter with De Queen Fire Dept. for 20 years and 30 minutes, a past Lion's Club member, a girls baseball coach for the Lewis Food Sackers for 5 years, and he was an avid Razorback fan.
He loved his "Shalo" more than anything, and spending time with family, and friends. He also enjoyed all the time spent with friends traveling and the "snowbird" family made at Bay Breeze Travel Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama. He was known to the family for writing his romantic and heartfelt letters to Shalo, his "treasure hunts" he made clues for Shalo and the grands, and the letters he wrote to the grands every Christmas giving them life advice. He was the best husband, dad, and Pop he could have ever possibly wanted to be. He will be missed by all of those who loved him, but may we all remember to "keep the shiny side up."
Spencer was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nancy Logan, his sister Carla (Logan) Archer, and some very close friends.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon Logan; his two daughters, Renee Logan (Jimmy Trotter); Susan Logan (J Mark Bigham); his grandchildren, Jessica McGough and Kacy McGough of De Queen; Logan and Hayley Cole of Hot Springs; and his great grandson, Watson Hayes Brewer (his little man) of De Queen. He is also survived by so many friends that were like family.
