Mrs. Shirley Faye Baker Melton, age 65, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016, in University of Arkansas Medical Center, Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born to Jessie Lee and Elsie Leoma Robbins Baker in De Queen, Arkansas, on August 28, 1951. She was an employee of Husqavarna, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading, visiting with friends, and cherished the time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Junior Melton. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Ray Smith of Lockesburg, Debbie and Ceaser Jones of Nashville, Arkansas, five grandchildren and their spouses, Kameron and Amy Smith of Wake Village, Texas, Haylee and Chad Roberts of Redwater, Texas, Tifani Jones of Nashville, Arkansas, Elisha and Nairian Daniels of Bryant, Arkansas, and Jalon and Elizabeth Jones of Nashivlle, Arkansas, eight great-grandchildren, Michael, Korbin, Paisley, Isabelle, Jaylee, Brynleigh, Tinaiya, Aaliyah, and two great-grandchildren soon to be born. Funeral Services for Mrs. Shirley Melton will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 1, 2016, inn the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Short officiating. Burial will follow in the McHorse Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, September 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
