De Queen, Arkansas – Sherrie Lee Akin Owens, 55 years of age, gained her angel wings on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Sherrie was born in Jacksonville, Texas, on May 28, 1966, to James Harlan Akin and Cynthia Ann Burns.

She is preceded in death by her mother, and brother, James Evan Akin.

Sherrie is survived by her father, James Harlan Akin; brother, Jerry D. Akin of Jacksonville, Texas; two sisters, Theresa McCrary of Jacksonville, and Tonya Jones of La Porte; and three nieces, Amy Johnson, Miranda Akin and Heather Akin. Sherrie also had many special friends in the De Queen area that she loved and considered family.
