Mrs. Sandi Wilson

Mrs. Sandra Jean Hurst Wilson, affectionately called "Sandi" by family and friends, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Texarkana surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born to George W. and Jean Lucy Danforth Hurst in Kansas City, Kansas on August 31, 1946.   She received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She worked in this profession from 1976 until she retired in the fall of 2023.  She married Ray Wilson in De Queen, Arkansas, June 4, 1982, and was a member of the De Queen First Assembly of God Church.  She was a member of the Sevier County Chamber of Commerce, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and especially painting.

She was preceded in death by her parents George W. Hurst and Jean Lucy Danforth Hurst.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ray Wilson of De Queen; son Jason Jones and wife Jennifer of Springdale; three beloved grandchildren who called her "Nonnie": Jenna, and Jacob Jones, and Jaxon Conley of Springdale; daughter Leah Hanson and husband Patrick of De Queen; beloved fur-grandbabies: Tigger, Daisy, Snowflake, Astrid, Diana, and Brownie; sister Patty Thompson and husband Jesse of Conway; niece Erin Whitley and husband Shane of Conway; nephew Rhett Thompson of Conway and his son, Maddox Thompson; her sister Alison Brown and husband Bobby of Greenbrier; nephew Brian Edwards and wife Heather and their children, Gordon, and Gray Jones, and Bennett Edwards of Damascus; niece Ashlee Bowden and her husband Ryan and their children, Pearson Massey, Nicole,  Zachary, and Oliver Bowden of Mayflower; among many other extended family members and friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Sandi Wilson will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 3:00 P.M., in the De Queen First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Ray Reynolds and Ryan Bowden officiating.  Burial will follow in Sweet Home Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M., on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the De Queen First Assembly of God Church.  Services are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.  You may send a condolence message at www.chandlerfuneral.com
