Obituary

Mrs. Sandee Higgins
Mrs. Sandee Kay Higgins, age 71, resident of Gillham, Arkansas, went to her Heavenly home with Jesus on Thursday, March 2, 2023, in De Queen, with her daughter, Windy, by her side.

Sandee was born the second of two daughters to George and Melbalene Marie Rogers Williams on November 4, 1951, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. She worked in different capacities over the years including housekeeping, waitressing, construction, time as a receptionist, as a Wrangler on a Dude Ranch, and most recently as a Homemaker. Sandee married the love of her life, Billy Eugene Higgins, on March 13, 2004, in Gillham. She was a member of the 4C Cowboy Church in De Queen. She was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, playing guitar and singing with Billy and friends, talking on the phone, and her animals. Her most beloved animals were her horse, B.K.; her dogs, Phydra, Sonny, and Bubbles; and her cat, Cricket. More than anything, Sandee cherished the time spent with her family and friends. During her seventy-one years here, Sandee found the most joy on her Grandma Daisy's farm in Hacker Valley, West Virginia, and her home off Bellah Mine Road in Gillham, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Melbalene Marie; her loving husband, Billy Eugene Higgins; one daughter, Tracy Marie Lemon; her grandmother, Daisy Alice Rogers; one niece, Michelle Christine Eaves; and a nephew, Gregory Michael Barnes.

Sandee leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter and son-in-law, Windy Leigh Arkon and husband Steven of Horatio; her step children, William Bryan Higgins and his wife Patricia of Springdale, Arkansas, Kelly Warren and Vance Bradler of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, and Joey Rains of New Boston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Amanda Medrano, Brittney Edmondson, Jessica Edmondson, Benjamin Edmondson, Mandie, Anthony Arkon, and Scott Douglas Arkon; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Alice Ratajczak and husband Robert of Cleveland, Ohio, and Debra Ruth Lauter and husband Ken of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; Brenda's daughters, Kathryn Marie Wedding and husband Don of Streetsboro, Ohio, and Alicia Deanne Edwards of Ravenna, Ohio; Debra's two daughters and three sons; one niece-in-law, Dina Dominica Forcina of Brunswick, Ohio; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Sandee Higgins will be determined at a later date. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen. You may leave a condolence online at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
