Mrs. Ruth Wilson
Mrs. Defrenzia Ruth Wilson, age 88, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in De Queen.

Ruth was born the third of seven children to Autry David and Ressie Ruth Cobb Wilson, on August 11, 1934, in Horatio, Arkansas. Ruth was united in marriage to George Lee Wilson on February 14, 1951, in Texas. To this union, three children were born. Ruth completed training in Kermit, Texas to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse, and received her high school diploma from a Tacoma, Washington high school in 1989. She worked in many different areas during her nursing career, including time in Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. When she was able, Ruth attended the Old Center Holiness Church in Horatio and enjoyed quilting and traveling. She best spent her time with her loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, George; one brother, Adie David Wilson; and three sisters, Pauline Harrison, Doris Smith, and Glenda Swim.

Ruth leaves to cherish her memory, her life companion, Earl Pettigrew of De Queen; two daughters, Karen Wilson of De Queen, and Christine Leigh Presser and husband Greg of Salem, Oregon; two sons, George Lee Wilson, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Copperas Cove, Texas, and Sammy Dean Wilson of De Queen; ten grandchildren, Jonathan Wilson, Melissa Cary, Nathan Lee Wilson, Andrew Wagoner, Shelby Wagoner, Sara Wilson, Grace Mae Presser, Amanda Michelle Coffet, Kristi Davis, and Brian Davis; eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Culp Hinsley and husband Randy of De Queen, and Marie Hendrix and husband Tom of El Dorado; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

A private family service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 23, 2022, at Old Center Cemetery with Bobby Harrison officiating. Interment will follow. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen. You may leave a condolence online at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
