Mr. Roy Gregory
Mr. Roy Edward Gregory, Jr., age 76, resident of Foreman, Arkansas, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, in the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas.

Roy was born the oldest child born to Roy Edward and Pauline Leah Brummet Gregory on August 10, 1946, in Ashdown, Arkansas. He was a 1964 graduate of Foreman High School and went on to join the United States Navy in July of 1964. Roy faithfully served three years, two months, and twelve days, having served in Vietnam. He married the love of his life, Christine Elizabeth Applegate, on November 8, 1969, in Little River County. To this union, two sons were born. Roy began his professional career in the Powerhouse of Nekoosa-Edwards Paper Mill in Ashdown. He retired from Georgia Pacific in 2001, after a several years of service. Roy and Christine owned and operated Mac's Café in Ashdown for many years until they took a final retirement in 2008. Roy enjoyed horse racing, working, playing poker especially Texas Hold 'Em, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of almost forty-six years, Christine Gregory; one son, William Gregory; and two brothers, Ronnie and Walt Gregory.

Roy leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Randy Gregory of Foreman; one daughter-in-law, Tammy Gregory of Bridgeport, Nebraska; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Aaron (Amber) Carver of Texarkana, Rendi Nichols of Foreman, Katelyn (Breanna) Gregory of Ashdown, Dakota (Belle) Gregory, Tyler Gregory, Josh Gregory, Justin (Courtney) Gregory, and Sean (Codi) Gregory, all of Bridgeport; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Posey of Foreman, and Thelma Ruth Gregory of Norman, Oklahoma; one brother, Dallas "Ricky" Gregory and wife Sandra of Crossroads; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Roy Gregory will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Gravelly Cemetery Pavilion in Foreman. Interment will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
