Mr. Ronald Yates Grooms, affectionately known as Ronnie, age 56, a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday, July 11, 2025, in a Texarkana, Texas Hospital.

He was born in Ashdown, Arkansas, on November 25, 1968, the son of Wilford Yates and Deloris M. Grooms.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on his truck, fishing with Jake, and especially spending time with Betty and Bella.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Cheryl Neiman.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Betty Christine Grooms of Ashdown; one son, Joshua Grooms of Little Rock, Arkansas; one step-son, Aaron Carver and his wife, Amber of Texarkana, Arkansas; two step-daughters and their spouses, Rendi and Colby Nichols of Foreman, Arkansas and Katelyn and Breanna Gregory of Ashdown, Arkansas; Grandchildren, Braxton Kade Knight, Jaycee Platt, Jake Nichols, Dylan Carver, Edwin Carver, Kelton Gregory, Ava Gregory, and Alaina Gregory; two sisters, Karen Tablor and Kim Stanley and her husband, Paul, all of Ashdown, Arkansas.  His best friend, Joe Brimberry.

Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Ronnie Grooms will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 21, 2025, in the Alleene Cemetery, in Alleene, Arkansas with Bro. Jimmy Cross officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Arkansas.
