Mr. Robert Odean Wolcott, age 78, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Sevier County Medical Center.
He was born to Robert Roy Wolcott and Alma Wells on August 14, 1947, in Ashdown, Arkansas. He married Susan Jean Mann on May 26, 2006, in De Queen, Arkansas. Odean was a Christian. He worked as a mechanic, plumber and electrician for the City of De Queen and retired after 23 years. Odean loved to hunt; deer, hogs, coon, and alligators. He enjoyed running his dogs, piddling and inventing things while spending time in his shop, but most of all he loved being with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by, his parents, his only daughter, Julie Platt, and a sister, Carolyn Braud.
Odean leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 20 years, Susan Wolcott of De Queen; six sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Tonya Wolcott, Kevin and Andrea Wolcott, Bradley and Autumn Wolcott, Brent and Angela Wolcott all of De Queen, Chad Wolcott of Willington, Kansas, Dustin and Bridgett Wolcott of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two stepsons, Kenny Mann of Mena, Arkansas and Clifford Mann of De Queen, Arkansas; a son-in-law, John Platt of De Queen; one sister, Joyce Sparacino of De Queen; one special niece, Vickie Devore of De Queen; nineteen grandchildren; Kelli, Christopher, Ethan, Evan, Conner, Kimberly, Dale, Joey, Justin, Jarrin, Emily, Kaitlyn, Karley, Kaylee, Braden, Gracie, Laken, Chloe, Sarah, Ashton, Blake, Jaxon, and Elias; along with numerous great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Odean Wolcott will be held, 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 22, 2026, in Beacon Hill Cemetery with Steve Wolcott and Ronald Lofland officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, June 21, 2026, in the funeral home chapel.
