Ms. Rebeca Ruvalcaba, age 69, a resident of De Queen, died Thursday, August 3, 2017 in the Christus St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana. She was born to Leovijildo Ruvalcaba and Refugio Romero in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas, Mexico on August 17, 1947. She was a seamstress, had worked for Pilgrim and Poulan, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, sewing, gardening, flowers, and she cherished the time spent with family. She was preceded in death by her mother, and two grandchildren, Ivonne Ramirez and Elizabeth Ramirez. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Alfredo and Maria Ramirez, Ruben Gustavo and Myrna Ramirez all of De Queen, Ernesto Daniel and America Ramirez of Nashville, Arkansas, and Osvaldo and Maria Ramirez of De Queen, a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Ruben Lerma of De Queen, her father, Leoviildo Ruvalcaba of Levelland, Texas, seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Ulderico and Margarita Ruvalcaba of De Queen, Joe and Alvina Ruvalcaba, Jamie and Adriana, Leo Jr. and Laura Ruvalcaba, Jose Ruvalcaba, Ernesto and Lisa Ruvalcaba, Carlos and Adela Ruvalcaba all of Levelland, Texas, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Daniel Mendoza, and Norma and Jorge Castillo all of Levelland, Texas, thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass for Ms. Rebeca Ruvalcaba will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, in St. Barbara's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Arkansas. A Rosary and visitation will be held at St. Barbara's Catholic Church from 7:00 P. M.
