Mr. Raymond Vallee
Mr. Raymond Ernest Vallee, age 73, resident of Cove, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at the Veteran's Medical Center, Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was the youngest of eight children born to Robert Joseph and Alice Lavider Vallee on August 16, 1947 in Southbridge, Massachusetts. Raymond faithfully served his country with the United States Army, being deployed to Vietnam in 1968. After his stateside return, Raymond continued to serve with the National Guard Reserves until his retirement in the early 2000s. Raymond worked as a truck driver, working 10 years for Tyson Foods in Nashville. He also worked for Tyson Foods in Stillwell, Oklahoma, and previously cared for the Little River Country Club and Millwood State Park. He was a member of Cove First Baptist Church, where he helped with children's ministry and served as security. He was also a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. It is said that Raymond was the "Jack of all trades." He enjoyed spending time at the Coffee Vault and visiting the nursing home, as well as, woodworking, riding backroads, fishing and camping. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathy Sue Walker Vallee; two grandchildren, Asher and Annabelle Vallee; three brothers, Albert, Leo and Authur Vallee; and one sisters, Pearl Vallee.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Barbara Vallee of Cove; five sons, Russell Vallee of California, Timothy Quinton Stubbs, Jr., and wife Patricia of Lockesburg, Justin Ottie Stubbs of Malvern, Christopher Bryan Stubbs and wife Elizabeth of Cove, and Raymond Paul Vallee of Cove; one daughter, Jada LaPointe and husband Eric of Greenfield, Massachusetts; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Yankee Vallee and wife Ruby of De Queen, and Richard Vallee and wife Carol of Sturbridge, Massachusetts; one sister, Teresa Summer of Washington; a special sister-in-law, Brenda Lewis of Lockeburg; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside Services for Mr. Raymond Vallee will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Wofford's Chapel Cemetery, De Queen, with Bro. Ron Ladd officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
