Mr. Ramon Jaramillo Rico, age 72, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Sevier County Medical Center in De Queen, Arkansas.
Ramon was born to Antonio and Susana Jaramillo on August 31, 1952, in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico. He married Alicia Jaramillo Castillo in 1999, in De Queen, Arkansas. He retired from Pilgrims after working over 25 years. He was a member of St. Barbaras Catholic Church, he enjoyed being outdoors, clearing land, tending to his yard and plants, as well as his animals. He liked to fish, being on his ranch, playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and most of all he loved dancing with his beloved wife, and being with her.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ramon leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Alicia; three daughters, Susie Mendez, Miriam Ruiz, and Bianey Ruiz all of De Queen; a son Edson Ruiz of Hope, Arkansas; eight grand-children, Janice Ocampo – Garcia, Berenice Dominguez, Miriam Dominguez, Enrique Castro, Yailin Dominguez, Yanet Alicia Dominguez, Vianey Dominguez, and Omar De Jesus Dominguez all of De Queen; four great-grandchildren, Yareli Castro, Damian Castro, Emiliano Castro, and Julian Moran of De Queen; his best friend Simon Perea of De Queen; along with a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Funeral Mass for Mr. Ramon Jaramillo Rico will be held at 9:00 A.M., Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the Monsignor Scott Friend Pastoral Center at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Father Ramses Mendieta Officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Ida Cemetery in De Queen under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M. at the Church.
