Mr. Ralph Staggs
Mr. Ralph Aldron Staggs, age 91, resident of Andrews, Texas, and former long-time resident of Horatio, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in Andrews, Texas.
Ralph was born on September 1, 1931, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to George William and Mamie Chandler Staggs. At a young age, Ralph accepted Christ and began what would become a life-calling to Ministry. He spent countless years ministering to family, friends, and acquaintances before pastoring a number of churches in West Texas. After his return to Southwest Arkansas, Ralph married Juanita Stringfellow on May 2, 1992, in Horatio. Together they shared more than twenty-six loving years. Ralph and Juanita were faithful members of the Horatio First Assembly of God Church and Ralph enjoyed woodworking, and spending time with family and friends. Aside from his work in Ministry, Ralph worked a number of years for the Horatio School District as a bus driver, and several years at Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Juanita Staggs; the mother of his children, Mary Ruth Lawley Staggs; one daughter, DarRenda Staggs; two brothers, Floyd Staggs and Ernest Staggs.
Ralph leaves to cherish his memory one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Debbie Staggs of Andrews, Texas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Latriece and Doug Brooks of Lubbock, Tx Deanna Funderburg and fiancée Lee Berry of Hedley, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Laura Staggs; and his sister, Eva Archer. Juanita's children and their spouses, Dave and Linda Rogers of Houston, Texas, Pat and Paulette Rogers of Cypress, Texas, Joy and Donnie Smothers of Nacadoches, Texas, Sherri and Steve Philaman of Monroe, North Carolina, and Cynthia Rogers of Horatio; as well as a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Graveside Services for Mr. Ralph Staggs will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 10, 2022, at Clear Creek Cemetery, Horatio, Arkansas, with Bro. John Gutierres officiating. Interment will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. You may leave a condolence online at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
Celebration of Life will be at the First Assembly of God Church, 622 N 11th, Memphis, Texas, at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 14, 2022.
