Mrs. Prescilla Morris, age 85, a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025.  She was born February 14, 1940, in De Queen, Arkansas to Judson and Hazel Denson.

She was a 1959 graduate of De Queen High School.  On March 21, 1960, she married her husband, Jim Morris, and they eventually moved to Lockesburg, Arkansas where she raised their two boys and worked in the family businesses, Jim Morris Logging and 3-M Transportation.  In 2000 she moved to Texarkana, Texas where she continued working with her husband in their businesses.  Mrs. Morris has been a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas for the past 14 years.

During her lifetime she enjoyed being a wife, mother, and grandmother.  She also enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, and her animals.  While living in Lockesburg she was a member of First Baptist Church of Lockesburg and while living in Texarkana she was a member of Heritage Baptist and later First Baptist Buchanan.

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents Judson and Hazel Denson and her husband Jim Morris.

Mrs.  Morris is survived by her son Michael Joe Morris of Ashdown, Arkansas, a son Danny Morris and two grandchildren DJ Morris and Hanah Morris all of Lockesburg, Arkansas; a sister Henrietta Dull of New Boston, Texas; a sister-in-law Wilma Morris of De Queen, Arkansas, a friend that was like a daughter Lori Morton of Ogden, Arkansas as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Prescilla Morris will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt.
