Mrs. Peggy Bryan

Mrs. Peggy Lynn Bryan passed peacefully from this worldly life, into her eternal heavenly home on December 3, 2019, surrounded by family. Peggy was born to Hope Rogers and the late Robert Burns on June 24, 1952 in De Queen, Arkansas. She was a life-long member of Geneva Missionary Baptist Church in De Queen.

Peggy was preceded in death by a precious daughter, Roseanna Lyn Bryan; one sister, Penny Burns; and a father, Robert Burns.

She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory, her husband of 50 years and the love of her life, Kenneth Lyn Bryan of Lockesburg, Arkansas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Johnny and Robyn Hacker of Foreman, Arkansas and David and Denise Beck of De Queen, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, Culley and Sarah Bryan of Lockesburg, Arkansas; four grandchildren and spouses, Amber and Marty Clayton of Foreman, Denali and Theo Ramsey of South Korea, Kaleb Hacker of Foreman and Danielle Beck of De Queen; as well as, one great-grandson, William Clayton of Foreman; her mother, Hope Rogers of Ashdown, Arkansas; two sisters, Pat Martinez and Paula Landaverde, both of Texarkana, Arkansas; one brother, Dave Rogers of De Queen; as well as, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Peggy enjoyed cooking meals for her family and was said to be able to make a 2x4 taste delicious. She enjoyed watching the cooking and travel channels and had a large collection of cookbooks and travel magazines. She loved to travel and camp. Peggy has been from coast to coast and from the Gulf to Alaska. One of her favorite lines was "Of all you have seen of this country, how much do you own?" Her reply was, "In a way, I own it all, in my mind's eye and memories." She was extremely well-read and loved everything western and Indian. She also loved armadillos and stories of armadillo chases that her family was involved in. Peggy had a talent unmatched for writing stories and devotionals for all to enjoy, like the meatloaf recipe and her famous lost and found ad about Kenneth.

Peggy was a selfless wife, adored mother, loving Mamaw and the very best friend anyone could ask for. If she knew you, she loved you and she always saw the very best in humankind. If she were here today, she would tell you all, never take one moment for granted and do not wait a second longer to accept our most kind and gracious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, so you may see her again in Heaven one day.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Peggy Bryan will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 6, 2019 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Gary Welch and Travis Lane officiating. Private family burial will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will gather at Geneva Missionary Baptist Church, following the service.
