Mr. Pat Kolb
Mr. Patrick William Kolb, age 64, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at his home.
Pat, as he known to family and friends, was born on March 29, 1958, to Ernest Otto and Daria Dee Byrnes Kolb in Beloit, Kansas. He was a 1976 graduate of the Logan, Kansas High School and later began his career in Construction. Pat worked more than thirty-five years as a Construction Superintendent, finishing his career with MWH Constructors, Inc. Pat married the love of his life, Connie Elaine Gatlin, in Arlington, Texas, in April 1988. Together they have shared more than thirty-four loving years. Pat had a givers heart and took pride in his being able to contribute to an array of charities, including Toys-for-Tots. Pat and Connie were active with the Sevier County Foster Care Christmas Program, helping to ensure children enjoyed a memorable Christmas. He enjoyed woodworking, restoring antique cars, cooking on his smoker, and fishing. Pat best spent his time with Connie, their children, and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Shelia Kolb.
Pat leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Connie Kolb of De Queen; one son and daughter-in-law, Cody Shane and Brittnee Westerfield of Ashdown; one daughter and son-in-law, Keri and Josh De Herrera of Sherman Oaks, California; he was "Grandpa" to his four doting grandchildren, Cruz and Yvonne De Herrera, and Sarah and Jacob Westerfield; one brother, Kurt Kolb of Kirkland, Washington; one sister and brother-in-law, Marita and Dick Mitchell of Omaha, Nebraska; as well as other relatives, and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Pat Kolb will be held in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, this next year. Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen. You may leave a condolence online at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Angels of Everlasting Hope, 3631 Leigh Erin Street, Midlothian, Texas 76065, in honor of Mr. Pat Kolb.
