Olivia Mcfalls
Watson
Jan 21, 1955 — Mar 9, 2019
Kansas City
Ms. Olivia Watson
Ms. Olivia McFalls Watson, age 64, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, entered eternal rest early Saturday morning, March 9, 2019, in Kansas City.
She was born to Theodore R. and Wyola Simpson McFalls on January 21, 1955 at their home in the Oak Grove Community of Sevier County, Arkansas. She was a 1971 graduate of the Lockesburg High School, earned her Bachelor's Degree in business from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 1975 and later, her Master's Degree in Accounting from the Avila University in Kansas City. She was member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. At a young age, she joined the New Zion Baptist Church in the Oak Grove Community and became a member of the St. James United Methodist Church after she moved to Kansas City. Olivia has lived at many places in her life, including Saudi Arabia, but she humbly called Kansas City home. While she worked various careers during her life, she spent the last 12 years working for the Internal Revenue Service, Agriculture Division. She enjoyed watching movies at home and solving crossword puzzles, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bonnie S. Barnett; and a brother, Billie C. McFalls, who was killed during the Vietnam War.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Cara Thompson, Christyn Watson and Carmen Watson; two beautiful grandchildren, Najah Thompson and (little) DJ Thompson, both of whom affectionately called her "Boo Boo". She is also survived by one sister, Carolyn McFalls Reynolds and husband Benjamin; two brothers, Oliver B. McFalls and wife Funzia and Steve D. McFalls and wife Louise; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services were held in Kansas City on Thursday.
A public visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will follow at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, in the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
