Mrs. Myria LeQuita Lipsey Smith, age 95, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Little River Nursing and Rehab in Ashdown, Arkansas.
She was born to William Raymond Lipsey and Ima Pickett Bell on August 16, 1930, in Horatio, Arkansas. She married Charles Wayne Smith in De Queen, Arkansas on April 16, 1948. Myria was a Baptist and she was salesclerk for 7-11 convenience store; she also worked at the Rubber Corp. and retired from Poulan. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee and loved to sit down to a good book.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wayne, one daughter Leesa Stephens, a granddaughter Cara Smith, her twin great-grandsons Emmett and Hayes Hanney, and a half sister Arley Gayle McGraw.
Myria is survived by, three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Steven and Brenda Smith, Anthony Carter and Angela Smith, and John Clinton “Clint” and Leslie Smith, all of De Queen; a son-in-law, Eddie M. Stephens of Magnolia, Arkansas; two half-sisters, Raylene Young of Horatio, Arkansas and Shari Keller Clark of Texarkana, Texas; nine grandchildren, April Ann, Elizabeth Kay, Katy, Quinn, Mandy, Michael Paul, Cassie, and Destiny; along with a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Private graveside memorial services will be held at Millwee Cemetery in Horatio, Arkansas, with Kevin Belt officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. You may leave an online condolence at www.chandlerfuneral.com, or you may visit Chandler Funeral Home on Facebook.
