Mr. Milton Morris

Mr. Milton, one of seven children born to Robert Nathan and Tabitha Louisia Morris, passed Sunday, March 10, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Gillham, Arkansas, on August 25, 1941.  Milton married the love of his life, Frances Marie Ruth on June 30, 1960.  Milton worked in timber all of his adult life, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gillham.  He enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, selling produce, and woodworking, but his best time spent was with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Milton was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, his parents, a son, Doyle Morris and his siblings, Joyce Hargis, Bobby Morris, Vernon Morris, Keith Morris, and James Carl Morris.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children; Stan Morris of Gillham, Terry and his wife, LaVersa Morris of Grannis, Kent Morris and Nita Irvan of Gillham, Michelle and her husband, Larry Bohannon of Gillham, Bane and his wife, Denise Morris of Smithville, Oklahoma, and Amber Morris of Gillham; his grandchildren, Andy Morris, Cage Morris, Grant Morris, Jerrod Morris, Megan James, and Brent James; his great-grandchild, Hank Davis, and his sister, Judy Smith of Gillham, as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Milton Morris will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 2:00 P.M., in the First Baptist Church in Gillham, Arkansas, with Bro. Cole Lancaster officiating.  Burial will follow in the Overturf Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Amber Morris, 385 Mineral Road, Gillham, Arkansas 71841.  Arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
