Mr. MC McElroy, age 83, a resident of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, March 3, 2017 in Post Acute Care Hospital of Texarkana.

He was born to Tiny and Ann Simpson McElroy in Lockesburg, Arkansas, on July 26, 1933. He was a mechanic, and a Baptist. He enjoyed neighborhood baseball, where he umpired, collecting collectables., and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ella Mae McElroy, and a daughter, Cynthia McElroy

He is survived by his companion, Bobbie Gray of Texarkana, Texas, a son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Karla Easter of Ashdown, two daughters, Yvonne and Yvette Murphy of Ashdown, Arkansas, a brother, Milburn McElroy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, four sisters, Carolyn McElroy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dorothy Alberty of Idabel, Oklahoma, Jean Minger of Paris, Texas, and Christy Gaffney of Grant, Oklahoma, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews and other family members.

Funeral Services for Mr. MC McElroy will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the New Zion Baptist Church, Lockesburg, with Rev. Larry Clardy officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Community Cemetery, Lockesburg, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
