Mrs. Mary Simer
Mrs. Mary Jo Taylor Simer, 85, passed away Saturday, October 22, in Nashville, Arkansas.

Mary was born November 21, 1936, in De Queen, Arkansas, where she lived most of her life. She worked at the Poulan-Weed Eater assembly plant until, her retirement and was a member of the Church of Christ De Queen. She loved to quilt, sew, craft, and preserve fresh produce. As a younger woman, she was adept at breaking horses. She deeply loved her grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, John Elmer Taylor and Carrie Lee Taylor; her brothers, James Edward Taylor and James Earl Taylor; her daughter, Susan Jane Mcclellan; and her great-grandson, Stephen M. Broach.

Mary is survived by her husband, Dale Simer of De Queen; her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Gerald "Jerry Don" Denson of De Queen; her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Richard Bailey of De Queen, Arkansas; her daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Joe Smith of Arkansas; her daughter and son-in-law, Marcie and Randy Hedge of De Queen, Arkansas; her son and daughter-in-law, Sonny and Tonya Simer of Arkansas; her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Louise Riggs of Chazy, New York; and her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Valerie Riggs of DeLand, Florida; her grandchildren, Amanda Riggs, Bobby Broach Samuels, Bryan Broach, B.J. Isaacs, Dericia Denson, Jennifer Riggs Galucci, Jerry Denson, Jessica Riggs Farmer, Jessica Riggs-Vega, John Riggs, Kevin Broach, Kristi Smith, Mike Riggs, Sam Riggs, and Tracy Pender; as well as twenty-two great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Mary Simer will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 19, 2022, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Toney Stowers and Bobby Tatum officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Ida Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, November 18th, at the funeral home.
