Mrs. Marilyn Houser
Mrs. Marilyn Jean Hennard Houser, age 81, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, November 20, 2023, at her home.

Marilyn was born one of four children to the union of Roy Allie and Gertie Mae Ross Hennard on April 2, 1942, in Bossier City, Louisiana. Marilyn attended school in De Queen and later went to work with the De Queen School District. She worked in housekeeping at the schools and as a bus driver, retiring in 1998, after twenty years of dedicated service. On December 23, 1980, Marilyn married Otho Derle Houser. Together they shared more than thirty-eight loving years until his passing in 2019. Marilyn was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in De Queen, and when she was able, attended County Line Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and loved people. She was loved by everyone and never met a stranger. Marilyn best spent her time with her children and her loving grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Otho Houser; and her sister, Patsy Wilson.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory, one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jimmie Acklen of Alma, Arkansas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and David Hill of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Kimberly and Buster Dellinger of De Queen, and Sherri and James Caldwell of Mineral Springs, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren and their spouses, Aaron (Chelsey), Jay, Cody (Megan), Kendra (Jeremy), Dustin (Brittney), Dalton, Mackenzie, Rileigh, David, Morgan (Jon), Aidan, Mason; eight great-grandchildren, Maddie, Savannah, Millie, Lucas, Lorilie, Rebel, Lyric, and Matilda; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Sally Hennard of De Queen, and David and Juanda Hennard of De Queen; special friends, Ronald and Shada Hughes of De Queen; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Marilyn Houser will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Friendship Baptist Church in De Queen. Bro. Jerry Hill and Bro.
