She was born on Wednesday, February 22, 1922, in De Queen, Arkansas. She married the love of her life, Raymond R. Cromer on November 7, 1949, in Miller County, Arkansas.

She is survived by four daughters, Carol O'Neill of Tyler, Texas, Sandra Cromer-begert, of Fort Worth, Texas, Sherry Schwettman, of Tyler, Texas, and Sharon Akins of Tyler, Texas; three grandsons, Shawn Cromer, Michael Akins, and Arron Akins; as well as, great-grandchildren, nieces, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Since her passing, Mrs. Cromer's beloved brother, "B.Y." Bryant Gardner, has passed away.

She was employed as a supervisor at Texas Instruments in Dallas until her retirement. After retirement, she returned to De Queen, Arkansas and later moved to Tyler, Texas.

She enjoyed traveling, cooking and going to church on Sunday. Her favorite hobbies included crossword puzzles, puzzles, quilting, and tending to her flowers and garden. She was an avid reader and was of sound mind and body before her death. She left many wonderful memories behind for all who met and knew her. She will be dearly missed by all.

As a final selfless act, she donated her body to the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth so that they might be able to find out what made her so special.

Memorial services for Mrs. Margaret Cromer will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 1:00 P.M., in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Johnson officiating.
