Mr. Luther Dean Dierks, age 75, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born to Thurman and Irene Allen Dierks in De Queen, Arkansas, on November 25, 1948. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and participated in Dessert Storm with Red River Army Depot. Luther married Peggy Madeline Winton Dierks in Ratcliff, Kentucky and they spent 53 years together. He retired from Red River Army Depot in 1997. Dean and his wife Peggy spent the next 20 years as owners and operators of Dierks Lawn Care.
Dean enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering, wood working, watching westerns and YouTube, but his best spent time was with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the Bowie County Cowboy Church in DeKalb, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marquita Dierks.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Peggy of Foreman; his children, Misty and Eddie Warren, Jr. of Foreman, Dusty Dierks and Isabel Cross of Foreman; his grandchildren, Madeline and Cody Hough, Megan and Cody Mitchell, Morgan Warren, Lane Anderson, Leanna Stephens, Brooke Dierks, Londyn Dierks, Lockard Dierks, Elise Cross, and Jacelynn Abbott; his great-grandchildren, Kaden Hough, Brady Hough, Braelynn Hough, Wrigley Hough, Walker Hough, Zarenity Ybarra, and Savannah Mitchell; his two brothers, Emmitt T. and Lucy Dierks of McKinney, Beau and Gayla Strout of Foreman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of Friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Luther Dierks will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in the Old Center Church with Bro. Dennis Chamber and Bro. Tuffy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Center Cemetery, Horatio, Arkansas. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., September 17, 2024, at Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, De Queen, Arkansas.
