Mr. Luis Martinez
Mr. Jose Luis Salinas Martinez, age 47, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, in the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas.

Luis was born on September 9, 1974, in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico, the fourth of eight children, to Santos Salinas Martinez and Adriana Martinez Rubio. Luis was a poultry farmer and enjoyed grilling, farming, fishing and music of any kind. More than anything, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Santos Salinas Martinez.

Luis leaves to cherish his memory, the love of his life, Maria Hernandez of De Queen; three daughters and a son-in-law, Misty and Dylan Linville of De Queen, Rosa Salinas of De Queen; and Sofia Salinas of De Queen; three sons, Luis Martinez of De Queen, Javier Salinas of De Queen, and Jose Salinas of De Queen; his grandchildren, Yareli Linville, Emilia Garcia, and soon-to-be grandson, Isaac Linville; his mother, Adriana Martinez Rubio of San Luis, Mexico; five brothers, Julio, Eugenio, Florencio, Jesus, and Santos; two sisters, Casimira and Angela; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Luis Martinez will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 13, 2022, in the Monsignor Scott Friend Pastor Center at St. Barbara Catholic Church in De Queen. Interment will follow at Redmen Cemetery in De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, with the reciting of Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
