Mr. Lonnie Johnson
Mr. Lonnie Raye Johnson, age 52, a resident of De Queen, died Friday, March 15, 2019 in a Little Rock hospital.
He was born to Charles and Dorothy Dell Hopkins Johnson in De Queen, Arkansas on May 16, 1966. He was a 1984 graduate of the De Queen High School and attended the Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ. He was an artist and he cherished the time spent with his family.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, who raised him, Otis Powell; as well as, a step-brother, Otis Powell Jr., his grandmother, Minnie Hopkins and his aunt, Annie Maull, all of which loved him dearly.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven and Kathleen Johnson of Horatio, and Dakota Johnson of De Queen; a daughter, Knicole Dunn of Horatio; six grandchildren; four brothers, Charles Johnson, Jr., Jimmy Johnson, Kevin Johnson and Justin Powell; two half-brothers, Jermial (J.J.) Johnson and James Boyles; two step-brothers, Cory Powell and David Phillips; one half-sister, Cynthia Bennett Bertram; five step-sisters, Gwendolyn Bell, Sandra Anderson, Naudi Powell, Viola Spencer, and Gabby Powell; five uncles, Frank Jordan and Eddie Johnson, Sr., and wife Francis, Tommy "Tony" Whitmore, all of De Queen, Jerry Lee Whitmore of Maumelle, and Stephen Leon Whitmore and his wife Elonda of Broken Bow; three aunts, Clara Wilburn of Kansas City, Missouri, April Bennett and Marie Whitmore, both of De Queen; two great-aunts, Agnes Gilmore and Willie Boyles and husband Jackie; and a great-uncle, LeRoy Nelson; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial Services for Mr. Lonnie Johnson will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, March 30, 2019 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. You may send an online sympathy message at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
