DE QUEEN
Mrs. Linda Carol Hohmann Hughes, age 81, a resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in the Sevier County Medical Center.
She was the youngest child born to William Bill and Martha Jane Manning Hohmann on August 18, 1943, in De Queen, Arkansas. She was a poultry grower for Tyson Foods and Pilgrim, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Horatio and worked for the Horatio Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, her flowers, and was "MawMaw" to her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Hughes, a son, Jeff Park, her parents, and her siblings, Charles, Edith, Ester, Mildred, and Georgia.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Danny Cunningham of De Queen, Jayne and Randy Cole of Gillham, and Rhonda and Mike Pitts of Foreman; three sons and daughters-in-law, Fred Park of Texas, Randall and Sue Hughes of Texarkana, Arkansas; and Ronald & Shada Hughes of De Queen; her grandchildren; Katie and her husband, Jeremy Davis of Nashville, Kory and Jess Cunningham of Amity, Brandy, Jacob, Maranda, and Brittany Park, Levi, Jordan, and Jodie Hughes, and Kolby Pitts; one brother, Bob Hohmann of Tennessee, several nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Linda Hughes will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 24, 2025, in the Millwee Cemetery, Horatio, Arkansas with Kerry Edmiaston officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen.
