Mrs. Linda Joyce Hobbs Gilbert, age 70, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, at her home.

Linda was born to Cecil D. and Dorothy Faye House Hobbs on January 10, 1956, in De Queen, Arkansas. Linda was a graduate of De Queen High School and later married Lee Von Gilbert on January 11, 1973, in New Boston, Texas. She was a member of Old Union Church and was a QA for Poulan for over thirty years. Linda enjoyed sewing, cooking, hanging out at the Cook Shack, taking care of her grandchildren, camping, burning fires, she always loved being on the go and Golden Corral was her favorite place to go out to eat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lee Von Gilbert, her grandson, Dakota Vanhoose, brother-in-law, Wayne Montgomery; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Judy Gilbert; brother-in-law, Dwayne Gilbert, brother-in-law, J.W. Gilbert and a sister-in-law, Diane Gilbert.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Lavonda Icenhower and Wendy Vanhoose, both of De Queen, Arkansas; five grandsons, Dalton Icenhower of Dierks, Arkansas; Cody Icenhower of Red Water, Texas; Garrett Sullivan of Foreman, Arkansas; Dylan Vanhoose, of Provo, Arkansas and Hunter Vanhoose, of Lockesburg, Arkansas; nine great-grandchildren, Declan, Desmon, Willow, Braylon, Brixlee, Bryson, Blade, Axle and Trevor; and her sister, Celia Montgomery of De Queen, Arkansas; a number of nieces, nephews and other family members along with a host of friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Gilbert will be held, 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronald Gilbert officiating, burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen. Visitation will be held, 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at the funeral home.
