Mrs. Leona Frachiseur

Mrs. Leona Smith Frachiseur, age 83, resident of Grannis, passed from this life on Friday, November 22, 2019 at her home surrounded by famliy. Mrs. Leona's passing comes four days after the loss of her loving husband, Mr. Abe Frachiseur.

She was born to Lee and Hattie Young Smith on January 22, 1936 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. She attended school at Grannis, was a homemaker and a Baptist. Leona enjoyed cooking and she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 68 years, Abe Frachiseur; one grandson, Jeremy Frachiseur; and two brothers, Lenard and Gene Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory four sons and daughters-in-law, Orval and Barbara Frachiseur of Grannis, Randy and Linda Frachiseur of De Queen, Mark and Sheila Frachiseur of Grannis, and Gary and Amber Frachiseur of Falls Chapel; twelve grandchildren, Cindi Sawyer (Scott), Amanda Williams (Danny), Brad Frachiseur (Kasey), Kevin Frachiseur (Amanda), Brandon Frachiseur, Stephanie Jenkins, Jared Frachiseur (Montana), Colby Frachiseur, Kaci Helms (Eric), Jamie Vandiver, Dylan Frachiseur and Andrew Frachiseur; one granddaughter-in-law, Katrina Frachiseur; 29 great-granchildren; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Abe and Mrs. Leona Frachiseur will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Grannis, with Bros. John Gilbert and Calvin Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
