Mr. Lee Von "Fatty" Gilbert, age 62, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Monday, August 8th, 2016 in a Texarkana Hospital. He was born to Robert Wendell and Marie Louise Eudy Gilbert, in Center Point, Arkansas, on January 4, 1954. He was a Baptist, and a logger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandbaby, Dakota Vanhoose. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Hobbs Gilbert of De Queen, two daughters, Lavonda Icenhower and Wendy Vanhoose both of De Queen, five grandchildren, Dalton Icenhower, Garrett Sullivan, Cody Icenhower, Dylan Vanhoose, and Hunter Vanhoose, one great-grandson, Declan Icenhower, five brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. J. W. and Jenice Gilbert of Dierks, Larry and Judy Gilbert of Lockesburg, Ronnie and Diane Gilbert of Dierks, Richard and Darlene Gilbert of Lockesburg, Arkansas, and Dwayne and Connie Gilbert of Dierks, one sister and brother-in-law, Mary "Missy" and Terrell Shepherd of Dierks, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Lee Von Gilbert will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 11th in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lee Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, De Queen. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Chandler Funeral Home.
