Rev. Kios Baro

Rev. Kios Baro, age 59, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed to his eternal home on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in Christus St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana, Texas.

He was born to Koni and Sophia S. Baro on October 15, 1965, in Arno, Marshall Islands.  He was the Reverend of the Marshallese New Beginning Church in De Queen, Arkansas.  He enjoyed fishing and mechanical work, but his best spent time was with his church family and his family.

Rev. Baro was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Jessica Baro and two brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Jimor Baro of De Queen; two daughters, Joselima Baro of De Queen, and Rosina Baro of Springdale, Arkansas; seven sons, Harvey Sawej, Jency Baro, Ricky Baro, Kioshi Baro Rosina Baro all of Springdale, Arkansas, Jacky Baro of De Queen and Rolanson Baro of Springdale, Arkansas; twenty-two grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Rev. Kios Baro will begin at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 17, 2025, and will end 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Marshallese New Beginning Church in De Queen.
