Mr. Kevin Barnett Olson, affectionately known as "Beezy" to his family, age 63, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He was born to Karl E. and Emily Jean Chiles Olson on August 17, 1962, in Victoria, Texas. Kevin was a high school graduate of Victoria High School and went on to work in construction and carpentry. He attended both Rose Hill Baptist and Kern Heights Baptist Church. He would go to church early to cook breakfast for the congregation, he especially enjoyed making them pancakes, also lending a helping hand around the church. He frequently gave his time to help with maintenance and anything the school needed at Legacy Academy in Lockesburg. He enjoyed bowling, roller skating, building, working with his hands, tinkering with things, making friends and most of all aggravating his nieces and nephews.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Babette and Tommy Lowe of Victoria, Texas and Bambi and Wayne Frazier of Grapevine, Texas; two brothers and sister-in-law, Mike and Cathy Pierson of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada and Bob Olson of Victoria, Texas; his wife, Julie Blair of De Queen, Arkansas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Clint Schmal, Dr. Jason Lofton, Brian Payne, Alex Weber, Jeremiah Ward, and Emilio Rios.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Father Ramses Mendieta, Tommy Lowe, and Wayne Frazier.
Funeral services for Mr. Kevin Olson will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 30, 2026, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Smallwood and Bro. Bobby Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen. Visitation will be held, Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
