Mr. Kenneth Scroggins
Mr. Kenneth Dale Scroggins (Bud) was born December 26, 1950, in Ashdown, Little River County, Arkansas, to Sally Scroggins and Jessie Paxton. He departed this life on Sunday, November 5, 2023.
Bud graduated from Wood Street High School, Ashdown, Arkansas, in 1967. He was employed at the Sawmill in Wilton, Arkansas, for many years and at Nekoosa Paper Mill in Ashdown, Arkansas, from 1974 to 1982. He worked various other jobs until he retired. He later relocated to Lockesburg from Ashdown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sally Scroggins and Jessie Paxton; a brother Jessie Paxton, Jr.; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Bud leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Kenneth Scroggins and wife, Cyndi, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two daughters, LaTasha Murphy of Houston, Texas, and NaShay Porter of Lockesburg, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Aubrn, Devin, and Kennedy; three sisters, Marilyn Bell and husband Theo of Lockesburg, Arkansas, Lanita Joyce Banks of Texarkana, Texas, and LaSheria June Banks and husband Roy of Ashdown, Arkansas; five brothers, Terrell W. Scroggins and wife Asa of Texarkana, Texas, James C. Scott of Ashdown, Arkansas, Ray C. Scott of Lockesburg, Arkansas, Elbert D. Scott of Nashville, Arkansas, and Leonard Burns of Ashdown, Arkansas; two aunts, Maybell Paxton of Ashdown, Arkansas, and Linda Easten of Phoenix, Arizona; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Kenneth Scroggins will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Community FreeWill Ministries in Ashdown, Arkansas. The Rev. Tommy Halsell and Rev. Curtis Winfrey, Jr. officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Mineral Springs, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M., Noon, until service time, Saturday, at the church. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
