Mrs. Kay Chandler
Mrs. Kay Cranford Chandler, age 72, resident of Horatio, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at her home.

Kay was born one of three children to Rohiel Cranford and Burrell Butler Cox on March 12, 1950, in De Queen. She was a 1968 graduate of Horatio High School. Two short years later, Kay married the love of her life, James Darrell Chandler, on September 3, 1970, at Old Center Church in Horatio. To this union, two sons were born. Kay worked in different professional capacities including time with Baldwin Piano Company, the Horatio School District, and De Queen First Assembly of God, retiring in 2014. When she was able, Kay enjoyed her involvement in activities at the church, her plants, reading, and spending time with her loving grandchildren, to whom she affectionately known as "Nana".

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of over forty-six years, Darrell Chandler; and her nephew, Glen David Cranford.

Kay is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Sharon Chandler, and Curtis and Tosha Chandler, all of Horatio; her grandchildren, MaKenzie Chandler of Horatio, Orey Chandler of Lockesburg, and Logan Chandler of Horatio; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Brenda Cranford of Horatio, and Danny and Tamara Cranford of Crossroads; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of special friends, too numerous to name.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Kay Chandler will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 17, 2022, at Old Center Cemetery with Pastor Ray Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.
