Mrs. Kathy Elizabeth Halter Worley, age 73, a lifelong resident of De Queen, passed from this life, on Friday, August 23, 2024, in CHI St. Vincent Hospital, Hot Springs, Arkansas.

She was the only child born to Raymond Edward and Mary Gray Halter on November 21, 1950, in De Queen, Arkansas.  She was a 1968 graduate of De Queen High School and went on to cosmetology school in Texarkana.  She worked for over ten years as a hair stylist. Kathy married Jim Worley on April 11, 1969.  To this marriage, four daughters were born.  Kathy was a devoted wife and mother and would follow sports and academics that her daughters and grandchildren were involved in.  She enjoyed cooking and was an avid Razorback fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim Worley, and a grandchild, Lance McCleskey.

She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Tony Everts, Julie Strickland of De Queen, Mary Beth and Slade King of Nashville, Arkansas, and Leslie and Anthony McCleskey of De Queen; ten grandchildren; C. J. Tugman and his wife, Jessica; Katie Carper and her husband Cutter, Haley Strickland, Jagger King, Jackson King, Cooper McCleskey, Kipton McCleskey, Ezekiel McCleskey,  Rebecca Brown and her husband Jeremy, and Wendy Everts; eleven great-grandchildren, Remington, Paisley, Jadyn, Layla, Walker, Mason, Bentley, Gracelynn, Hailey, Emerie, Trey, and expecting two more great-grandchildren in December.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Kathy Worley will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Homer Frachiseur officiating.  Burial will follow in the Millwee Cemetery, Horatio, Arkansas.   Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.  The family will be at 409 North 7th Street in De Queen.  Arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.  You may send an online condolence at www.chandlerfuneral.com or our Chandler Funeral Home Facebook page
