Mrs. Karen Marie Smith Frachiseur, age 65, a resident of Gillham, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, April 28, 2025, at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas, surrounded by her family.

She was born to Walter Lenard Smith, Sr. and Billy Ann Parker Smith on December 20, 1959 in Mineola, Texas.  She graduated from De Queen High School and then married Jeffery Lynn Frachiseur on June 22, 1979.  To this marriage one daughter was born.  While Jeffery made them a living, Karen made the living worthwhile.  She was a member of the Holly Grove Missionary Baptist, and enjoyed porch sitting looking at her solar lights, listening to windchimes while drinking coffee, but most of all, she loved spending time with her husband, daughter, son-in-law, her five grandchildren, and so looking forward to her first great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Ange Coulter.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of almost 46 years, Jeffery Frachiseur of Gillham; a daughter and son-in-law, Natasha and Joshua Mayhood; five grandchildren, Chloe Mayhood, Sophie Mayhood, Marlee Mayhood, Zander Mayhood and Eevie Mayhood; a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Bonita Smith; two nieces, Jennifer Smith Kent and Elizabeth Smith Woodard and spouses;  brother-in-law, Gary Coulter and niece, Kayla Coulter; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alan and Mary Frachiseur, a nephew, Tyler Frachiseur and spouse; a brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Bobbi Frachiseur;  a niece, Stacy Harberson and spouse; a nephew, Dustin Frachiseur and Spouse; a sister-in-law, Brenda Brewer, a nephew, Colby Brewer and spouse; her mother and father-in-law, Howard and Nadine Frachiseur, numerous  great- nieces, great- nephews, as well as a host of friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Karen Frachiseur will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 2, 2025, in the Holly Grove Cemetery in Grannis, Arkansas, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen.
