Mrs. Judith Zachry Covington, affectionally called, Judy, by family and friends, age 83, a resident of Russellville, Arkansas and a former resident of De Queen, passed from this life at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, April 26, 2024.  She was born to Jeff William and Marguerite Guyce Kendrick Zachry in Ruston, Louisiana on July 23, 1940.  She was a 1958 graduate of Ruston High School and went on to college.  She married Paul Howard Covington, Sr in Ruston, Louisiana on March 28, 1959, and to this marriage, two sons and a daughter were born.  She and Paul were farmers. While Paul made the living, Judy made the living worthwhile.  She was a member of the Memorial Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the DAR.  She enjoyed sewing, all kinds of needlework, painting, card games, traveling, researching genealogy, and keeping up with friends but her best spent time was with her husband, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband, Paul.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Emily Covington of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Alan and Michelle Covington of Russellville, Arkansas; a daughter, Sandra Covington of De Queen; seven grandchildren, Sara Beth and her husband, Kyle Eubanks of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Payton Paul Covington and his fiancé Olivia Etchison of Farmington, Arkansas, Zachry Sawyer and his wife, Christina Rentfro of Russellville, Arkansas, Rachel LeeAnn Covington of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Cole Covington and his wife, Briley, Luke Covington, and Anna Covington all of Russellville, Arkansas; a great-grandchild, Jude David Eubanks of Bella Vista, Arkansas; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Carol Zachry of Simsboro, Louisiana, a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Judy Covington will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 2, 2024, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, De Queen, Arkansas, with Bro. Kenny Hanney officiating.  Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Judy Covington will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ruston, Louisiana on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 11:00 A.M.
