Mr. Juan Lagunas, age 65, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, March 23, 2018, in the St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

He was born to Filimon Lagunas and Donaciana Flores on June 24, 1952, in Mexico. He married Ricarda Trinidad on May 19, 1972, in Mexico. He was employed at Pilgrims in De Queen and was a member of the St. Barbara Catholic Church in De Queen. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, basketball, soccer, and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Ricarda Trinidad; three brothers, Apolonio Lagunas and wife Ma. Felix Barrera, Emilio Lagunas and wife Juana Rodriguez, all of Mexico, and Miguel Lagunas and wife of Ortencia Flores of De Queen; five sisters, Eufemia Lagunas and husband Antioco Manrra, Margarita Lagunas and husband Arnulfo Manrro, both of Mexico, Petra Lagunas and husband Aplolinar Arias of Grannis, Arkansas, Ma. Felix Lagunas and husband Jesus Mosqueda of De Queen, Arkansas, and Antonia Lagunas and husband Jose Garcia of Chicago, Illinois; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Juan Lagunas will held at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 25, 2018, in the St. Barbara Catholic Church, De Queen. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. You may send an online sympathy message at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
