Mr. John D. Smith, age 66, a resident of Schulenburg, Texas, former resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Schulenburg, Texas.
He was born to William D. and Juanita Evelyn Plunkett Smith on September 18, 1950. He was a 1968 graduate of De Queen High School, where he ran track for the De Queen Leopards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Barbara Smith, and a brother, Tom Smith.
He is survived by four brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Ruby Smith of Fennville, Michigan, Dewey and Mary Ann Smith of Wayland, Michigan, Carl Smith of De Queen, and Charles Smith of Altus, Oklahoma.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. John Smith will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 21, 2017, in Redmen Cemetery, De Queen, Arkansas under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Arkansas 71832 You may send an online sympathy message at www.chandlerfuneral.com.
