Mr. Jimmy Carter
Mr. Jimmy Joe Carter, age 46, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, in De Queen.

Jimmy was born the youngest son to J.W. and Odessa Dixon Carter on November 24, 1976, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was a 1994 graduate of Idabel High School and went on to obtain an associate degree in Mechanics. Jimmy faithfully served nine years with the United States Air Force, taking active deployment overseas. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he began working in maintenance for Pilgrim's Pride and other factories in our area. Jimmy married the love of his life, Stacy Gail Dagenhart, on July 12, 2013, in De Queen. Jimmy had an unwavering faith, loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and was an active member of the Gillham First Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and poker, working, fishing, anything Sci-Fi, tinkering with cars and motors, and taking a trip to the casino. Jimmy was competitive when it came to family game night, best spending his time with Stacy, their children, and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.W. Carter; grandmother, Heady Dixon; and his aunt, Ola Marie Melhorn.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Stacy Carter of De Queen; three daughters, Tori Roberson of De Queen, Reana Roberson of Morrilton, and Autumn Roberson of De Queen; one son, Logan Carter of De Queen; his mother, Odessa Carter of Illinois; two brothers, Steve Britt of Florida, and Victor Cantrell of Texas; two sisters, Phyllis (Bill) Nichols of Illinois, and Sandy (Carmen Warner) Cantrell of Texas; his mother and father-in-law, Sue and Terry Hargis of Horatio; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Jimmy Carter will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, April 16, 2023, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cole Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow at the Horatio Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home.
